Christmas Fayre
Sunday 1st December, 11am - 4pm.
Discover locally produced food, art, crafts and jewellery at our ever-popular Christmas Fayre. A great opportunity to find some unique Christmas gifts away from the hustle and bustle of the high street.
This year's fayre features a wide array of North East makers and producers selling handcrafted confectionary, jewellery, decorations, art, crafts, cards, bath & beauty products, toys, pottery, liquers and much, much more.
Make the most of your visit to our fantastic Christmas Fayre on Sunday 1st December by joining in our lantern making workshop and parade.
The lantern making workshop takes place from 10.30am to 2pm on a drop in basis, suitable for all the family. There is a small charge for each lantern made which ranges from £1.50 through to £3 depending on the size of the lantern. You can take your lantern away after the workshop, but why not wait until later in the afternoon so that you can join in our magical lantern parade?
The Lantern Parade takes place as dusk draws in at 4pm. We will walk across the historic Woodhorn site and up through the museum accompanied by a Northumbrian Piper. The parade last approximately 20 minutes, after which we will offer seasonal refreshments including mulled wine, mince pies, juice and biscuits.
