Family Friendly Museum Award - October 19th 2011
Do you think Woodhorn a great place for families? Well how about making our day and nominating the museum for an award.
The Sunday Telegraph has teamed up with the charity Kids in Museums for the Family-Friendly Museum Award 2012, to search out the best museum in Britain for all ages, and Woodhorn would love to be part of the competition. It's the the biggest museum award in Britain and the only award judged by families. Last year Woodhorn made it to the long list, but this year we'd love to go all the way to the top.
Anyone can make a nomination – readers, visitors, volunteers and staff in museums. We can even nominate ourselves but we think your views are even more important! Entries just have to say why it’s the most family friendly museum and deserves to win.
You can email your nomination direct to: award@kidsinmuseums.org.uk
or you can send an entry by snail mail to:
Family Friendly Museum Award,
Kids in Museums,
49-51 East Road,
London N1 6AH
More details on the competition and full terms and conditions can be found here.

The closing date for nominations is 2 December with the long list published in February, the short list in April, and finally the winner in May.
Did you know you can get even more involved yourself by volunteering to be a tester family for the museums? Find out more on the Kids in Museums website: http://www.kidsinmuseums.org.uk/awards/
The award is run by Kids in Museums, a visitor-led charity working with museums to make them more family friendly.
