You’ll discover what makes our Visitor Centre ‘tick’ and why it’s called ‘the Cutter’. Next stop the ‘Coal Town’ exhibition. Then it’s on to our giant Study Centre and exclusive entry to one of our massive archive storage pods. Away from prying eyes, you’ll garner a unique insight into the treasures not normally on show. Everything from weaving to witch finding!

Solve the tragic ‘whodunnit’ that blighted Woodhorn in 1916. Our Darkside Tour takes you to parts of the pit ‘off limits’ to the unaccompanied public. Be warned.
