Learning Revolution

In 2009 we were awarded £15,000 from the government’s Learning Revolution initiative. We used this funding to develop activities relating to family history at Berwick-upon-Tweed Record office and at Woodhorn. These activities ran from October 2009-March 2010 were:

• Mentor positions at both sites.
• Surgery sessions.
• Two five week family history courses.
• Half Day Schools.
• Behind The Scenes tours.
• Family History Day at Berwick.
• Three outreach talks in venues across county.

More that 1400 users engaged with these activities. We are currently looking at how we might extend this project.
