Personal Mentor Service
Are you a new user and unsure where to begin with your research? We offer two types of Personal Mentor Service whereby a member of staff will spend one to one time with you during your visit to our Study Centre. We will discuss potential sources with you, assist with your research or even undertake some of it for you.
Every Friday a mentor will be based in the searchroom and will be available to answer questions and provide guidance. This is a free service and the mentor will be available to everybody so please be patient if there is a high demand.
For a more focussed, dedicated mentor, there is a paid service costing a minimum of £52 for two hours. The service must be booked at least two weeks in advance of your visit. We also ask you to provide some details about your research at the point of your booking. This will allow our mentor to consider the most effective way to assist you during your visit.
