Storehouse of Words

16th July - 6th November 2016

Storehouse of Words told the story of the Northern Poetry Library and took an inspired look at the connections between poetry and life. Located in the heart of Northumberland, the library is an important archive but it is also a living, breathing library meant for people to use and enjoy.

In the exhibition visitors could discover more about the Northern Poetry Library, find out more about contemporary poetry and were even invited to have a go at writing their own poem!

This was produced in partnership with: Woodhorn Museum, Palace Green Library, Arts Council Lottery, Active Northumberland, Northumberland County Council, New Writing North, Newcastle University, Durham University, Scottish Poetry Library, Carcanet, Lit & Phil and The November Club.
