Street Life Instantaneous
15th February - 15th June 2014
Street Life Instantaneous was an exhibition of historic photographs of Newcastle Upon Tyne.
The exhibition focused on the street life of Newcastle, including fascinating images of Sandgate, the Milk Market and the Quayside areas of the city. The images strongly resemble the work of late 19th century North East photographer Edgar G Lee.
The images are drawn from the collection of the Society of Antiquaries, held at the Mining Institute and from the Northumberland Archives at Woodhorn.
This was produced in partnership with: Woodhorn Museum, Side Gallery (Newcastle) and Aaron Guy
