Tudor Lives

23rd January - 18th May 2010

In Tudor Times the North East was seen as a wild and dangerous place with nearby Scotland often an enemy of England and Border Reivers roaming the land. Tudor Lives revealed what daily life was like nearly 500 years ago. Visitors could explore the recreated parlour and kitchen together with original Tudor objects. Examine books, armour, pottery and engravings and learn about crime, sport, religion and pastimes.

Tudor Lives was a touring exhibition from Tyne and Wear archives and museums.

This was produced in partnership with: Woodhorm Museum and TWAM
