Wind and Wave Workshop
Thursday 12th April, Free Art Workshop, Time- TBC
Join artists Allie Walton-Robson and Fran Castle from Headway Arts who will be passing on traditional knot making skills in a drop-in family workshop.
Visitors are invited to make large knots using rope knots you might find on a Tall Ship. The knots will be used later to make Headway Arts Wind & Wave Installation - a rope map of Antarctica which will form a touring exhibition during summer 2018.
Wind & Wave connects to the exhibition 'The Williams Expedition: Rediscovering Antarctica' which runs at Woodhorn Museum from 10th February through to 7th May 2018. Come along to discover the incredible story of William Smith of Blyth, and find out how his adventures are inspiring the community today!
The workshop is part of the Inspiration Exploration creative programme partnership between The Blyth Tall Ship Project and Headway Arts.
