Woodhorn Charitable Trust

Woodhorn Charitable Trust is an independent charity which manages Woodhorn as a museum and visitor attraction and provides a home for the Northumberland Archives.  The Trust also manages the Berwick-upon-Tweed Record Office – a branch of the County Archives Service, Berwick Museum and Art Gallery, Hexham Old Gaol, Hexham Moothall and Morpeth Chantry Bagpipe Museum. The local authority, Northumberland County Council, has a statutory responsibility to provide an Archives Service and under the terms of a Service Level Agreement the Woodhorn Trust is engaged by Northumberland County Council to manage this service and the museums.  The Trust is registered as a charity No. 1129712 and a limited company No. 6893854.
