500 young people from Ashington have worked with Woodhorn Museum and artist Bethan Maddocks to create 'Homing', a new art installation inspired by the tradition of homing pigeons.
'Homing' celebrates Ashington's 150th anniversary, and each pigeon carries a message about the young people's home town of Ashington, past, present and future.
This beautiful and thought provoking installation opened on Saturday 10th June at the Northumberland Miners' Picnic.
